My goal is to help you feel better and be a compassionate and supportive ear whether you need help with a particular mental health challenge, to provide coping skills or if you simply just need someone to talk to that can help you see different perspectives. I have experience working with teens, youth and adults who are struggling with mental health challenges such as anxiety and depression, substance abuse, low self-esteem, stress, school difficulties and everyday life challenges.
I have experience using therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness-based approaches and I adjust modalities based on what the client is presenting with and what therapeutic techniques may be most helpful to a particular client. For fun I like to be out in nature, listen to music and spend time with family.
