MA Counselling Psychology (Completing)

Life can be difficult, unpredictable, and challenging at times; it can be filled with many peaks, as well as, many valleys. As a professional helper, my hope is that I can walk alongside my clients through these various times to encourage, empower, support, renew, and instill hope. It is not always easy to reach out for help, as such, I strive to create a safe space for my clients where they can be heard, understood, and experience unconditional positive regard and empathy.

I am excited about seeing my clients experience healing, restoration, renewed strength, wholeness, and growth. As a Cognitive Behavioral-oriented therapist, I utilize various strategies and tools, such as psychoeducation, emotion regulation, behavior activation, cognitive restructuring, and skill-building to help my clients achieve their goals, and attain the change they would like to see in their lives.

I have also received additional training in trauma work, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Regulation (STAIR) Narrative Therapy, and use the CASE Approach in assessing clients with suicidality. I believe in you. I believe in what you are capable of, what you can achieve, and what you have already overcome.
