External expectations, traumatic events, and adverse experiences can make it feel as if your personal story has been written by someone else. Your journey has likely involved navigating external influences that may have, at times, overshadowed your needs, wants, and desires. Just as a compelling documentary film seeks to uncover the truth beneath the surface, I’m here to collaborate with you as you step into the director’s chair of your life.
I use an integrative mix of therapy tools, such as Solution-focused Brief Therapy, Existential Therapy, Tree of Life Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Nature/Outdoor Therapy, Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, and Expressive Arts Therapy, to help you explore the existing footage of your life and then embark on a journey of rewriting and reframing your story in a way that truly reflects your voice, values, and vision for the future.
The challenges that bring you to therapy do not define you. Moving from feeling like a character in someone else’s script to becoming the author of your own compelling narrative enables you to live a life driven by your internal compass.
