Elpizo Community Connect
Elpizo Community Connect (ECC) is Elpizo’s way of sowing back into the community.
We recognize that our growth is rooted in humble beginnings and in the support given to us by clients, friends, family, referral agencies and affiliates. Now, we are blessed to be able to give back.
About Elpizo Community Connect
Our story of bringing hope to this community began in 2012. We began to offer pro-bono counselling to clients in need, provided support to non-profit organizations in serving their clientele, organized life skill programs at the Maplehurst Correction Institute for prisoner rehabilitation, and provided mental wellness presentations to the community and faith-based organizations.
In addition, we deliver educational seminars, training workshops, counselling sessions and support groups to diverse clients across a wide spectrum of needs.
We strongly believe in the need to build culturally informed, genuine, non-judgmental relationships, and create opportunities for growth and change. That’s how we rewrite the story.
With some financial supports from organizations such as Canadian Red Cross, Sovereign Core, Horizon Senior, and Elpizo Counselling Services we have been able to offer ongoing online support groups.
Most recently Canadian Red Cross have given us funding to provide a combination of mental health presentations, support groups, and counselling sessions. These activities will offer highly meaningful support and will foster significant connections for vulnerable populations (e.g., BIPOC and victims of human trafficking) to process the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
