Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for Ontario Employers

Flexible mental-health support for employees. Practical partnership for employers.

Elpizo provides employer-sponsored counselling and workplace mental-health support for organizations that want accessible professional care for employees without a rigid, one-size-fits-all program.

We can build an EAP arrangement around your workforce size, benefit goals, service needs and budget. Depending on the agreement, a package may combine employee counselling with manager consultation, workplace education, customized training and de-identified utilization reporting.

EAP psychotherapy is available virtually across Ontario and in person at our Milton office, subject to clinician availability and clinical suitability.

Choose Your Path

If your organization already has an Elpizo EAP and you are seeking counselling, choose Employee Access. If you are an employer, HR leader or decision-maker exploring EAP services, choose Employer Services.

For Employees

Confidential Support When Life or Work Feels Difficult

Your organization’s EAP may give you access to confidential counselling for personal, emotional, relationship or work-related concerns. You do not need to be in crisis to use the service.

EAP Counselling May Support

  • Stress, anxiety or emotional overwhelm
  • Grief and loss
  • Relationship or family concerns
  • Workplace stress or conflict
  • Burnout and difficulty coping
  • Life transitions
  • Emotional regulation
  • Personal wellbeing and resilience
  • Other concerns within the clinician’s scope and competence

Eligibility & Session Limits

Eligibility and the number of employer-sponsored sessions depend on the agreement your organization has with Elpizo. Our client-care team will confirm your eligibility, available sessions and any applicable limits before counselling begins.

Confidentiality

EAP counselling is confidential health care. Elpizo does not provide your employer with the content of your sessions, clinical notes, diagnosis or other identifiable clinical information without your consent unless disclosure is otherwise permitted or required by law.

If an employer receives utilization reporting, it is provided in de-identified, aggregate form and only where the information can be reported without reasonably identifying individual employees.

How to Access Your EAP

1. Use the Elpizo EAP access link or contact information provided by your employer.

2. Our client-care team confirms your eligibility and the services included in your organization’s plan.

3. We help connect you with an available clinician whose experience may fit your needs.

4. Before your first session, you receive information about consent, confidentiality, session limits and any costs that could apply outside the employer-sponsored benefit.

If You Need Additional Sessions

If your needs extend beyond the sessions included in your EAP benefit, your therapist or client-care team can discuss options for continued care or referral. Any fees or insurance considerations will be explained before additional services begin.

EAP Is Not an Emergency Service

Elpizo’s EAP is not a 24-hour crisis or emergency service. The website, email and intake forms are not monitored continuously. If you are in immediate danger or require urgent emergency assistance, use the emergency and crisis resources listed on Elpizo’s website.

For Employers

An EAP Designed Around Your Workforce

Elpizo works with growing and mid-sized organizations to design practical employee mental-health support around workforce needs, benefit goals, service requirements and budget.

Your EAP Arrangement May Include

  • A defined number of counselling sessions per eligible employee
  • Virtual counselling access across Ontario
  • In-person counselling at Elpizo’s Milton office
  • Access to Registered Psychotherapists, Registered Social Workers and other appropriately qualified clinicians according to the contracted service
  • A clear employee access and therapist-matching pathway
  • Manager consultation focused on workplace mental-health situations within appropriate non-clinical boundaries
  • Customized workplace mental-health training or employee education
  • Launch materials explaining how employees access the program
  • De-identified aggregate utilization reporting where included and privacy-protective
  • Periodic review of utilization and emerging organizational needs where included in the agreement

What Employers Do – and Do Not – Receive

Employers may receive agreed administrative information such as overall program utilization, broad service categories and other de-identified trends when reporting can be provided without identifying individual employees.

Employers do not receive individual session content, diagnoses, clinical notes or identifiable information about employees simply because the organization pays for the service. Any disclosure of personal health information follows applicable consent, privacy and legal requirements.

Ontario Coverage

EAP psychotherapy is available virtually to eligible employees located in Ontario and in person at Elpizo’s Milton office. If an employee is physically located outside Ontario, psychotherapy availability is reviewed case by case before services are provided.

Clinician & Language Matching

Elpizo’s team includes clinicians with varied cultural backgrounds, professional experience and areas of practice. Language availability changes with clinician capacity. Current options can be confirmed when an employer program is developed or an employee is being matched.

Service Standards

Employee access procedures, response expectations and any priority-routing arrangements are defined in the employer agreement so the organization understands what Elpizo can consistently deliver.

Pricing & Proposal Process

EAP pricing is customized rather than published as one flat rate. Pricing may reflect workforce size, employer-sponsored session allocation, anticipated utilization, reporting requirements, contract term, training components and other agreed services.

Before implementation, the employer receives a written proposal describing the scope, pricing, responsibilities and program terms.

HOW AN EAP PARTNERSHIP BEGINS

1. Discovery – We learn about your workforce, current benefits, goals, employee locations and the gaps you want to address.

2. Program Design – We recommend a practical structure for counselling access, session allocation, manager support, training and reporting.

3. Proposal & Agreement – You receive a written proposal outlining scope, pricing, responsibilities and implementation requirements.

4. Launch – Elpizo and the employer coordinate employee communication, access instructions and program start-up.

5. Review – Where included, de-identified utilization and emerging needs are reviewed to inform future programming.
