Ruth Baah-Gyebi, M.Sc., RP

Co-Founder & Practice Director | Registered Psychotherapist (RP) | Clinical Supervisor

Starting therapy can feel more complicated than it needs to, especially when you are unsure which therapist or service is the right fit. Ruth’s current role is to make that first step clearer. She listens to what is bringing you to therapy, considers clinical needs, preferences, format, culture, faith, language and fee considerations, and helps connect you with an appropriate Elpizo clinician.

With more than 25 years of experience in psychotherapy, trauma care, couples work, teaching, supervision and practice leadership, Ruth provides clinical oversight to the team and consultation on more complex presentations. Her supervision work includes trauma, couples therapy and reunification-oriented services. Although she is not currently accepting new therapy clients, her clinical experience remains central to Elpizo’s matching, quality-of-care and supervision processes.

Ruth brings the same warmth and curiosity to life outside the practice. She enjoys travelling and exploring new places with her husband, hosting family and friends, playing games, reading, and settling in with a good Hallmark movie. For Ruth, connection matters both inside and outside the therapy room and that same value shapes the welcoming, relationship-centred culture she works to foster at Elpizo.
