You may be carrying anxiety that will not quiet down, grief that has been difficult to move through, or tension in a relationship that leaves you feeling disconnected or stuck. Perhaps you are navigating immigration, a career change, menopause, divorce, or another major transition that has you questioning who you are, where you belong, or what comes next.
Tolu works primarily with adult women, while also supporting couples and families. She helps clients manage difficult emotions, process grief and trauma, strengthen communication and relationships, and develop practical ways of navigating change. Her work is particularly attentive to the ways culture, identity, family expectations, migration, and life experiences can influence emotional wellbeing.
Her style is warm, calm, collaborative, and strengths-based. Tolu creates space for clients to talk openly, make sense of what they are carrying, recognize strengths they may have overlooked, and develop strategies that feel realistic for their lives.
She also provides trauma-informed support for clients affected by difficult or harmful experiences, including motor vehicle accident-related trauma and trauma associated with female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C).
For clients who wish to include it, faith or spirituality can be thoughtfully integrated into therapy in a way that remains client-led and respectful of individual values and goals.
